INR program was established to reconcile the common dilemma of
Korean Healthcare professionals’ desire to practice in United
States and United States’ on going shortage of medical
professionals, especially registered nurses (RNs).
Common dilemma of RNs’, in order for them to migrate to the
United States in their professional capacities, is the language
issues. The United States immigration laws require all medical
professions who had their education and license in a foreign
countries of which first language is not English to obtain Visa
Screen Certificate.
Even when Visa Screen Certificate is obtained, the actual
everyday medical terms, expressions, and/or jargons and clinical
training are the next gigantic obstacles that RNs must face in
order to be successfully marketable or employable.
These two areas of Education/Preparation and Assistance are the
main point of the INR program, along with job placement
assistance.
Since INRP is neither a NCLEX nor a TOEPL prep program, INRP
will only assist Nurses who have passed NCLEX-RN test.
Program is developed and implemented by Dr. Richard L. Venneri,
Ph.D., Associate Provost of St. Xavier University; Young-Mee Lee,
Ph.D. RN., DePaul University; Mary LeBold, Executive Director of
Chicago Bilingual Nurse Consortium (CBNC); Ruth Kim R.N.,
Director of INRP; and Steve Yi, Polaris America Consulting
